My speciality is traditional arts: sketching, drawing, painting, oil pastels. I'm planning to learn how to use a tablet so i can extend artistic skills. I mostly enjoy drawing portraits. It takes me 3 hours up to a couple of days to draw a fully detailed portrait. I Hope you enjoy my work.

Okay artists listen up! I need your help/advice/tips/anything. I do a lot of traditional art and have always dreamed of being able to make digital art. I have a wacom tablet and photoshop, as well as illustrator. The problem is this: I don't know how to start drawing with all these tool. I know how to use them, but I whenever I begin something it seems like it's all taking too long to come through... Does that make sense? I need help, desperately. Does anyone have any advice or tutorials on how to draw with a tablet on photoshop or any other program?

Nobody reads these but I'm writing because I find it fun. These journal entries are actually really good reminders, to be honest. Anyway, let's get to it. This weekend I'm going to be finishing a painting I've been working on for a VERY long time. I'm using acrylic paint for it (wish I used oil but oh well). I'm not sure how I'm going to put it up on deviantArt. The easiest solution would be taking a photograph but I'm not exactly photographer material... Oh well. If I had the ability to stretch out my scanner to fit my painting in there, I would be the happiest person in the world.

New Years Revolution: Art Edition

So this year really has been about discovering myself. I figured out what I want to study (art of course) and I want to reach out for. I going to start making a lot more pieces (meaning every page of my portfolio will be filled out). I'm going to aslo make more oil paintings. Watercolours are fun to use, in fact I'm doing a piece right now with it.
Yeah, basically I'm trying to do as much as possible before starting 11th grade. I hope I don't fail myself this year!
